Very limited call for Broadway show tunes. One young very trained tenor comes to my show and will do Les Mis and Phantom stuff - we sing "All I Ask Of You" as a duet. Other than that, very limited. I suppose if I picked up a good collection, I'd draw the broadway people. I do have quite a bit of it already but there just isn't the interest, with the exception of this young man.

Same as Karen, very rarely (maybe once in a year - if that) do we get someone doing a show tune of any kind. I had the Chicago soundtrack & All The Jazz was done for a little stint. Music Of The Night get done on rare occasion (usually to a puzzled crowd).
I never get asked for any show tunes so I don't get any. No demand for it.

I have some show tunes. With my target audiences, mostly older, family, and younger, they do get some play. I picked up some SBI songs from "Rent" and "Chicago" at Tricerasoft.com.

It's rare, but I do have people that will sing show tunes. I have a small group of theatre people that come in. You can almost immediately tell the difference in their voices from other people. They'll belt out a show tune here and there. People like to hear popular rock songs that they can dance and party too rather than show tunes, so even professional theatre people shy away from them.

The most popular are from:

Phantom of the Opera
Hair
Rocky Horror Picture Show
Rent

At one of my shows, (a lesbian bar), they sing tons of Les Mis, Wicked, Phantom of the Opera, Rent and yep Grease too. Occasionally someone will sing one from something else, but not very often, mostly those mentioned.

I had a group that occasionally would sing a Broadway tune. I have mostly ones that have been mentioned. It's not often that it happens though, and it can get to be a drag if more than two are sung back to back. (Believe me...) I don't have many requests for them though.

I'm pretty much in the same boat as Lonman. Not much interest in Broadway stuff. Maybe a few times a year. And I do have quite a bit of it available to sing. I don't get any new stuff, though, since nobody requests it.

Although I will still keep adding more Broadway selections to my Library, I don't usually get requests for them either. There are the rare occasions when I will get a person who likes to sing Broadway. One show that I hosted, this guy got up to sing "Confrontation" from Jeckyll and Hyde. I was actually surprised, because I sing that song (on very rare occasions), and I've only heard one other person ever sing that song (my West Coast Broadway Counterpart (Tim D.)).

Even when I go out to shows, asides from me doing an occasional Broadway tune, I don't see many people singing that style of music. There's one person that I know, who, when we happen to be out at the same place, start doing (as I like to phrase it) "Dueling Broadway" songs. The popular ones that I've seen being done are:

All That Jazz
When You're Good to Mama
Summer Nights ---- Like I really needed to mention that one
Bring Hime Home - Surprisingly, I've heard 3 or 4 other people (besides me) sing this
This is the Moment - Again, I've heard 3 others sing this.
Time Warp
Suddenly Seymour - I've seen done by a few different people (besides me).
Out Tonight

Some stuff that I personally like to sing:
This is the Moment
Take Me As I Am - when I can find a female who knows it
Confrontation - I have to have the right crowd for this
Suddenly Seymour - when I can find a female who knows it
Skid Row - I only know 2 people that I've ever sung that with
Dentist
Stars
Bring Hime Home
Into the Fire
Why God, Why
Last Night of the World - when I can find a female who knows it
Good Morning Baltimore
As If We Never Said Goodbye
When You're Good to Mama
Mister Cellophane
Razzle Dazzle
Hair
Manchester England
Donna
Corner of the Sky
Gee Officer Krupke - I haven't done this one in ages (maybe I'll take it out of retirement)
All I Ask of You - when I can find a female who knows it
Music Of the Night

Sang Sweet Transvestite at the end of the night to clear out the bar. (It confuses the bill hillies and ned recks). Had to watch out for stray pick-up trucks though!

I have a fair amount showtunes in my collection.

I will sing an occasional one like "Corner Of The Sky" from "Pippin", or "Any Dream Will Do" from "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat", but I know of quite a few locations who can't get the Broadway in fast enough.

It all depends on the theater crowd in the area. If it is strong, you can end up with a night a month of nothing but showtunes. Venues in northern Lake County, IL are VERY good for this.

Antioch and Waukegan are big on the community theater. Waukegan is also home to The Genesee Theater, a small venue that has regularly played host to theater productions and concerts of all types for nearly 100 years.

You also have to look at the community High Schools. If they still promote the arts, the kids get bitten by the bug and never get rid of it. They turn 21 and are at the bar stretching the vocal chords once again.
