I am a Restaurant and Lounge owner.
I have karaoke every weekend.
I am not pleased with my KJ.
I have read many posts on many topics that apply to many of the reasons why I may hire another KJ or buy my own equipment.

Look forward to talking with some of you.

Hey Jim, hope you enjoy the site.

I'm curious, as a Restaurant and Lounge owner, what is yor crowd like? Are they the serious singers, or the happy go lucky crowd out to have fun?

I notice a big difference in the Chicagoland area (well to me) between a restaurant / lounge crowd and the bar crowd, I mean besides youth. Restaurant and Lounge places to me are more serious singers as a whole. Personally, I go to both places

I have a diverse age group.
My place is a bit more expensive than most due to a very controlled and classy atmosphere.
I serve food all night as well.
I have heavy drinkers and moderate.
I would say 35% are very serious/talented singers.
Yet almost all enjoy a good show......
