About the time the thread was started here about spammers I started getting hit hard on my forum. I changed the registration so that admin only activated new members. I changed the forum description to "Due To Spammers This Forum Has Been Rendered Useless And Is Locked Down. " Since then I have up to 10 joiners a day. I dont know if they are Bots or not. They dont give up

I just done this as a courtesy of Cabaret Karaoke. I think I will open all the forums so guests can read. I did put a lot of time and effort into it but it is another thing that pirates and spammers ruined.

How's that working out?

I think it works JD They register and then use spam software for multiple posts. I increased the interval time beteen posts too which helped Ive had over 10 register in the last 8 hours. I didnt activate them.

It's tough to be the boss..

Yea I just do this for something to do. I track with adfreestats and get about 20 hits/day on the website and 2 forums.For some reason my website isnt generating the business that it was All my reg summer companies that do outside parties have tightened their belts and no doing them or getting cheaper hosts.

Some of these spammers have real people log on and then link the spam ads.
