For Free... use a program like Audacity (Free).
* Split the channels
* Invert One Track

Then play around with the High-Pass settings.
Then drink a Big Bottle of Scotch or Burbon and It'll sound good.

Sorry, just kidding. How about posting the name of the Song.
If your tracks has Hissing and Popping, that's just more work to get rid of.

Hey I found it. Your in luck. Unlike most songs, this one comes out Tolerable.
I use MTU'S VOGONE 3.30. Try the Demo.

Comes Out Perfect! - NOWAY
Lowered Voice (Still There but Lowered)
Chorus and Music comes out Clear!

ONE OF THE BETTER ONES FOR SURE!
Looking For Perfection $$$ for Professional Backing Track

As for using a digital file, make sure you start with the uncompressed music file like WAV, rather than MP3. The compressed file will compress the right and left channel separately, which means the main vocal evenly distributed over the right and left channels do not match up evenly. So, even with a perfectly recorded to two channels may leave some residual vocals.
