Just bought a 139 disc used set for $75.00. There were a lot still shrink wrapped. and most appear to have never been used. I bought from a friend of my daughter's who used it mainly at home for personal use. She's down-sizing her home and is short on cash. The problem is I have a fair amount of discs that are not listed in KSLC. I have the latest update. The majority of the "missing" discs are a brand called "Ultimate Karaoke". Anyone know anything about this brand? I had planned on using these discs as part of my rental system and creating the books for it with KSLC, but I certainly don't want to enter a ton of discs by hand, either. Is there another, more complete program I could use? Thanks in advance! |

KJpro has ultimate karaoke party packs one and two listed. The first disc in pack one has 19 tracks while the first in pack number two has 24. |

Thanks, Danny, but these are not the Party Packs. They are just "Ultimate Karaoke", with titles like "Best of the 90's", "greatest Love Songs", "the Music of (fill in the blank)", "Classic Rock", etc. the say "Direct Source Special Products Inc" on them as well. |

sounds suspiciously like NuTech... can you list one of the volumes... I found several nutech discs that way as they were relabeled. |

Can't find those anywhere. Isn't there a way to add discs manually to KSLC? |

Yes, I think there is a way, but my point was that there are quite a few of them, at least 20 or so with a minimum 8 songs each. There are also a lot of discs that I KNOW won't be in KSLC as well. Weird labels and such. I want to try and save time, not spend my afternoon typing. Call me lazy! |

Fast Tracks has a quick way of entering the songs into it's database. Just enter the song names and it will automatically search for artists that have put out the song. If it selects the wrong one the box is drop down so you can see if others including the artist you are looking for is in it. select the disc name and it will set it in your database. It asks you if you want to add another track for that disc if you do want it you select yes, if not then no. Do you have a way to post a picture of the jewel case insert of one of your discs? |

Yes, the site is in New Zealand, but that is irrelevant. Not sure why you would think it was. The discs I have are from Canada. They are the same brand and I could have used a Canadian site, but the NZ one came up first in the search. |

Diafel, forgive me if I am misunderstanding your problem. Does your songbook app have an import Mp3 tool? I use this all the time when my songbook doesn't list my disk #. It may also be helpful if you use a program with Gracenote MusicID or CDDB capability... that way you don't even have to enter the disc number when ripping a disk. I use Power Karaoke mostly for disc ripping, but CDGrip from compuhost is free if you download the compuhot demo and it has Gracenote ID ability. Otherwise, you may have to warm up those typing fingers. Ack! |

Yeah, I've started typing. I'm not ripping these discs into the comp, so the mp3 and cddb isn't really an option here. These ones will be used for rental with the machine I just bought. I usually just use Latshaw song list generator but that's not an option here either. |

Thanks, KK. I've been using winamp and the cddb to identify artists that I don't know. Apparently I have a looooonggggg road ahead of me. |
