He invented the electric guitar and multi-track recording and changed the world. Music as we know it today would not be without him. He was 94 years old and will be greatly missed. Thank you, Les, for giving us such a great gift. RIP |

Yeah sad news indeed. Still he had a great innings & a great life, so good on him. I think he invented the first solid body electric guitar, not the electric guitar itself, but still one of his many great achievements. A great legend. |

Les Paul rocks! I think of his accomplishments everytime I see a Les paul guitar or drive on Les Paul Drive...yup, we have a road named for him, a big four lane hiway that skirts Waukesha his home town. Street sign even has a pic of a guitar on it. |
