This morning I started getting emails that someone was working the quote generator on my site for a wedding. I sent her an email with a bit more info and cell number etc.She replied and was tickled pink that I contacted her.

Here is the kicker.. Google northern colorado karaoke.. The craigslist ad was picked up by the search engine. I think next I will try to insert the adsfreestats code into it then I can tell when I get hits and have an idea from who and where.This is a very effective way to advertise.

This tracks web site visitors. Location is not always accurate but it gives you an idea.

Register and go to your account and get the code. In a wwbsite paste the code as the last thing in the body. In Craigslist after everything.

Now I know when the ad is hit!!! This awesome. If anybody wants help with an ad send me a PM ...

I put an ad on craigslist with text first and then a screenshot of my home page inserted into html and linked to my website. (all after this topic first came up)
Gotta say most all of the competition on craigslist is very mundane text ads, makes mine stand out!
And now after your post above I too put a hit counter in my craigslist ad and yes it does work.

Related a little, my site is finally on the first page of google search when using my home town name and karaoke! My hits has went crazy since then.

This craigs list ad thing has been working for me.
Most of the ads on craigslist are mundane text ,some maybe with 1 picture.

What I did was I took a screenshot of my web page, cropped it and inserted it into an html page using frontgage. and linked the whole page to my web page. Then uploaded that ad page to my server. I then copied the html code and inserted it into a craigslist posting with just a text greeting of sorts.

Now my web page is far from professional, so I don't need you to tell me that, I know. The thing is, is that it is working for me, been averaging 1-2 solid inquiries (not talking hits here but actual gig conversations) per week.

Due to Dan's thread my ad has had more than !00 hits in the last 2 days. This doesnt help business directly but it helps with the search engines as far as the regular web site.
