Found about the site from a good friend. I can't sing to save my life but I love to listen. Look forward to hearing all of the great singers here. I love going to karaoke to listen to all of the people having fun. My friends are always trying to get me to sing but I know that I couldn't carry a tune in a bucket so I just go to support my peeps.

I hope you at least go up and sing in group songs. Can sing or can't sing, like you, I enjoy watching people have fun no matter how they sound. So give it a shot. :)

Hi Joannie, and welcome to SS/KS..... it's a good place to listen, even if you don't like to sing.

But, that being said, you should probably start buying recording shtuff, because this is addicting, and people who join the showcase usually end up getting persuaded to sing sooner or later. :D

Lots of good threads and info here in the forums too. (if you... weed through the idiotic posts) :wink:

You don't have to be a singer to enjoy karaoke. I think it's great your a listener.

As a KJ I never try to force anyone to sing. If your having a great time and don't want to, you shouldn't feel pressure to have to do it.

Hey if you ever want to play a trick on your friends. Have the KJ put in the song "Tequila" for you. All you have to do in that song is yell "Tequila" 3 or 4 times. LMAO NO SINGING required.

Hi Joannie & welcome, I use to be just a listener here as well for almost a year until 1 day my hubby shoved the mic in my face & said, come On girl record a song... & now he can't stop me, I'm addicted :lol:

The encouragement is so very nice but I know how badly I sound when I try to sing in the shower or in the car and I would be mortified if anyone else heard what comes out of me when I sing. It is best to keep such things private. LOL I don't need people laughing at me behind my back. My singing is like Elaine's dancing on Seinfeld. LOL Yes, it's THAT BAD.
