Nothing else really in the price range that I know of. Sennheiser and AKG don't make a low-cost model like the PGX. Shure pretty much owns the sub-$600 market.

That being said, I really like the feel and sound of the AKG540 wireless. I have not used the Sennheiser E2, but I hear they are very good. (I like either the 835 or 935 head for karaoke.) They have an E3 that is in the $500.00 range, but I doubt that will be on Ebay.

There is also an AKG 450 which I don't know anything about. Depending on the head, it might be pretty good.

Buying used from the internet could be buying a defective item. I would try pawn shops and music stores. You can try them out in person.
