When you Burn Karaoke tracks to a disc:

Your DRIVE must READ and WRITE cdg!

There's a good chance that your DRIVE doesn't WRITE .cdg!

Solution: Either purchase a DRIVE that supports cdg or use a software,
i.e. Power Karaoke Burner. It works with most DRIVES!

Actually, it's more than that. If the system doesn't play mp3, then it will not ready mp3+g either. As previous poster said, you will need a CD writer that will support CD+G format. Then the mp3+g has to be converted to CD+G format to be written to the disc. There are several programs that will allow you to do that so if you search past posts, you will find plenty of recommendations.

One way to tell if the CD+G is supported or not, once you rip the disc and play it on the player, if the music plays but the words do not come up, then the CD+G is not supported.

If your cd writer has Disc-at-once, you will likely be able to record cdg's. If not you will need to grt one.
