It's only been 16 days. It's coming from Europe. Is it coming by mail or other means? If it's coming by post, is it by air or ship?

Gemini,
I think you meant august 12, not sept 12. Otherwise I would think you really have a problem wiith their shipping for it to take alomost a year to get there. I ordered a set from the UK in june and they had to reship it due to damage to the original set so it took almost two months to get to me. The seller obviusly had never heard of UPS because he shipped it royal mail which from what I understand can take forever.

Royal mail can be quite fast if you're lucky or can take a long time if you're unlucky.
What they do is they have huge shipping container that they fill. Once it's filled they ship it off. If you're unlucky, you get a new one, lucky you get an almost full one.

Ask for the tracking number, then you can find out when it was dispatched and who's hands it is in now.

The Royal mail could not track a Derby winner with an onboard camera.
I do Ebay.
They loose 1 a week for me. Recorded delivery.
I baught Compuhost.
The Royal Mail would not deliver it to me.
I had to travel 20 miles to their sorting office to pay £35 tax to get it.
Give up hope.

I ordered my first Selectatrack CDG last week and it arrived today (in NW Washington). Amazingly fast, I believe, as sometimes it takes that long for something to come to this side of the country from the other side.

I'll stand up and say that when I was in SF Bay Area California I would get my Sunfly (from a Scottish Dealer) about a week after they charged me for it, now in Austin, TX it takes 3-4 weeks even though it's air mail. I'm close to canceling the Sunfly sub and relying on Tricerasoft for instant gratification. I have coded a Tricerasoft search into my hosting program that will search Tricerasoft for the song. I click purchase on my program and it will complete all the steps needed to buy the songs with a gift pack and download it. I then just confirm the Artist and Song details are how I would like them in my book and it adds to my online songbook and to my hosting machine with a new disc / track number. (I still arrange my downloads as a 'custom disc' of 15 songs on the hard drive). Next up, adding other legal download sites!
On the subject of comparing deliveries, I think Royal Mail gets to big hubs (SFO, LAX, NYC) etc very quickly but then USPS is what slows it down going inland.

Buy them as Downloads direct from Sunfly..(unless you're using discs). Then you dont need to worry about Royal Mail being on strike

If you do, you will be downloading tracks that are only licensed for it in the U.K., not the U.S.- Don't get caught.

If you buy tequlia in Mexico do you have to drink it there only or can you buy a bottle a take it back to the US and drink it. Songs are a product just like anthing else you purchase to own. If I buy it abroad it's mine I own it. We are not talking patents or intelectual property. If I pay for it anywhere in the world and get a reciept for that purchase I own it. If sunfly license 10,000 songs and I buy one song they can now sell 9,999 songs for that download license.

Sorry, no. If you plan to use music commercially, it must be licensed in the jurisdiction that it is used.
For instance, Sunfly is perfectly legal to download in the U.K., because that's where the licensing was issued. However, A U.K. license is not a legal license HERE. There is no WORLDWIDE licensing organization.
No karaoke company owns the rights to it's music in the U.S. The discs are licensed through the publishers ( or I should say that the legal ones are), but the downloads aren't. If they were, you would get a copy of the licensing for each track that you download. If you buy discs, the licensing responsibility lays with the Mfr. If you download from off shore sites not licensed in the U.S., the responsibility rests on YOUR shoulders...because you will not be running a show with licensed music.
Heck, just to show you other jurisdiction's rules, unless there was a recent change, ALL PC shows are illegal in Canada. all shows MUST be run with Mfr. discs. You can't even rip them.

Sometimes I use Virtual Dj it is from the UK I downloaded it from the UK nobody else in the world sells this program except for Virtual Dj. Do I have to wait for someone in the US to license this product in order to use it here? I bought it, downloaded it, use it and have a reciept for it. It's mine...

I have this program and use it sparingly for DJ but a friend of mine who does both says the karaoke program/portion leaves something to be desired. Haven't tried it myself.

That should tell you right there. The postal workers are on strike. Not Sunfly's fault at all.
If that is the case, then EVERYONE who gets ANYTHING from UK mail will be having issues.
