When watching karaoke singers, what do you consider are the thee biggest mistakes they make. I’ve seen karaoke singers that I would put up against anyone on the CMA show last night. Some with wonderful voices but they don’t seem to put anything into learning to sing. I dislike my own voice and would give anything if I had a voice like some of these singers. P. S. I’m a Claypotts wannabe - this guy can sing anything. For myself: 1. They refuse to sing in the right key. (Sometimes just a half note up or down will make the difference.) 2. They have not practiced mike control. (Mike on top of tonsils) 3. They like to scream. (So much for the song.) |

Babs, I forgot about your number three. We have one lady that sings at one of the venues I attend and shes all over the stage as if she's in vegas. Plus, she couldn't find a key even if it was her house key. When she leaves the she looks at everybody like see if you can top that. The kJ almost goes to tears when she shows up, which is just about every night. |

1. I don't need no key change. 2. Microphone too close or too far away from their mouth. 3. Should have changed the key. |

People hitting the mic with a cupped palm just to see if it is on. I feel like hitting them on the head with the mic. |

You get that I think at every venue. It doesn't bug me, it makes for damm good entertainment, livens up the karaoke a bit:) Actually, I'm betting that there's a few (atleast a couple) of them in the showcase who would fit that description to a T if you met them in a live karaoke setting. (judging by... well, trust me, i think i'm right) I think you guys have done a good job of summing up the Top 3. |

Jian, I've also seen them tap the mic on the mic stand. I'm not a KJ but if someone did that to my mic I'd have a hard time not ramming down their teeth. Maybe that's why I don't KJ. |
