I'm 99% sure composite is RCA. Does the monitor have RCA video plugs on it? If it does that's all you need. An RCA cord however long you need to connect them.

... how would you connect an all-in-one player with karaoke capabilities (such as a Numark KMX-02) to a flatscreen monitor (without RCA or S jacks)? I've heard of RF modulators, but I can't see how it would connect to a flatscreen monitor's rectangular connection port designed specifically for computer applications. Does this mean that I'll have to opt for a conventional 14" TV instead to display song lyrics? Your help is much appreciated! |

Your help is much appreciated! First you have to id that flatscreen monitor's rectangular connection port. Is it HDMI? Thats what mine takes... I am also searching for a way to convert the yellow RCA video feed from a CDG player to either an HDMI port or a VGA hookup on the back of a bar's flatscreen TV. They are the only two free connections on the back of the TV. --Tad |

Hey RLC. Does that make it so you can run from your computer to another computer monitor instead of a PC? Like, could you go S Video out to an RCA adapter... run way across the bar and then into that box and out with a VGA cord into an LCD computer monitor? |

Some new TVs use the BNC type connectors. You can get one that goes from RCA to BNC. Aver Media I Micro unit will give you that option.

If you mean to run s video out from your laptop to a vga connection on computer monitor or a tv (with vga input) - yes It sounds like you want to convert s video to rca and then convert rca to vga? Is that correct or did I read wrong? If you are going from laptop to a vga connection on a computer monitor or a tv (with vga input) there should be no reason to convert, you should be able to run from the vga out on the laptop to the vga on the computer monitor or tv (with vga input) using a long vga cable. The unit I linked to above will take a RCA video input or a S-video input and convert out to vga. |

Karaoke graphics are low res at 600X400 and these converters work fine. For hi res the video is degraded somewhat. I havnt tried one with movies it might suffice I'm not sure.. |
