So I sorta had a crazy idea last night. We operate in 3 different states (Florida, Wisconsin, and Alabama) and I was thinking that it would sorta be cool to setup 3 webcams in each club and stream them online for the other clubs to watch. I was thinking a cam for the dance floor, the karaoke stage, and the DJ booth. The only problem is, I have absolutely no idea where to start,  . Any suggestions? Think it's a good idea? bad idea?

WME windows media encoder. It takes a separate port and a lot of bandwidth. For kicks I have upstreamed a camcorder with ustream |

Would I be able to have 3 webcams going and have the UStream change cams every few minutes? What I am visioning may be way too expensive or out of my league... but what I would really like is for each club to have a tv that will show a random cam from another club and have it switch which club/cam it's showing every 4 or 5 minutes. I'm not worried about sound of course, Just video. |

Marty Ive never streamed with WME but my host sells security systems. I have watched changing camera sequences from a Dallas night club on a cell phone here in Greeley. Camrras can be selected. Read microsofts FAQ'S on WME. It's really not as hard as it first seems. I have read about guys that watch their cable TV from home at work and can actually change the channel. I dont think sound would be a problem as video takes all the bandwidth. The internal mics on camcorders suck unless the camcorder is close to a speaker. |

Changing cams is pretty simple.. as long as you don't want studio quality. 
Many sites allow you stream, http://www.stickam.com is one. http://www.stickam.com/karaoke_king is a karaoke guy there.. |
