I broke my record tonight. I had a rotation of 35.
It took from 9:30 until 11:30 to get through round one. I went a half hour over time just to finish round 2, and only because round 2 had singers that hadn't sung before. What an amazing night!
Positive, happy people who were there to party and have a good time.
Something was wrong with this full moon cycle, but I definitely like it!

I tied mine tonight. Full moon and a holiday weekend and beginning of the month everyone got paid.
Same number of singers as last year but the bar owner said the numbers were lower. That makes sense because the economy was still good last year at this time.

Wow! 35. Should be a bonus for that! Yes the moon was big and full over the Mississippi river!

35 is a very big rotation for sure. Congrats on such good participation. Curious to know how many patrons total though. I find thats really the most important number, that and the till total. But that's another question for sure.

The place was packed. Not sure what capacity is but I'm sure we were getting there. Till totals are none of my business, but I'm sure they were good.

We checked out a few places Friday and they were all packed, packed. We had the fortune of a packed house, but only 10 -12 singers. Sounds like you had a great atmoshpere there, I know ours was.

Good job for your crowd to staying all nite. Unless there was bar trivia or I didn't look at the rotation I would be calling it a night or head to another place. Which is also why I arrive early to get some songs in before the crowd.

That double-edged sword. We LOVE a big rotation but singers grow tired of waiting. As long as it doesn't happen every single night, most people tolerate a big rotation. The other side of the sword - few singers, smaller audience, and some singers LOVE a big audience.

Ive been dealing with that problem for a while my last 8 thursdays shows had rotations in the 25-35 singer range.
Last night first rotation =32, second rotation =7 (last singer 2:15am), and people left waiting to the end, while others left when I told them that they had little hope.
That makes it difficult considering my show does not start until 11pm, and sometimes 11:30 If there is a band before.
I think my record is 55 different singers for a weekend show 8pm-2.
With that kind of crowd it stops being a "rotation".
