Is the computer powerful enough to run the videos? You need big processor and big memory. Doesn't sound like it is. |

That program is for DJ'ing. Get a proper karaoke hosting program. |

I host with numark cue and have no issues. I rip my music video DVD's I get from Promo Only with the cue program. For some reason cue won't burn the last track on the DVD(still workin' on that one) but otherwise works fine. Maybe try slowing down the rip speed if possible. The only PITA is I have to type in all that data on the DVD. As far as ripping cd+g goes,(I know thats not your issue) Some people on here will tell you they have had good luck ripping cd+g with audiograbber, but I think the Powerkaraoke is worth the $50. With PK, I don't ever have those bits and pieces of the words left behind on the screen. Mojo |

Just because you CAN host with it, doesn't mean you SHOULD host with it. A proper karaoke program will have a host of features that facilitate hosting. I of course would recommend Compuhost. That said, since you just switched from discs, what are you doing with the old disc player. The easiest, and best way to handle custom discs (or any disc playing for that matter) is to simply hook up an A/B switch and use that. |

Or if you use compuhost get a video capture usb device and use the external video feature. |

i have used an a/b switch with the disk players that i have and can understand how that works... however as i'm running off a lap using a monitor as a second screen and the disk player would need a tv can the a/b switch do that? can you get an a/b switch that would take 15pin input and give out an av feed to tv? sorry for my inexperience. i was told computer hosting would be easier! having a few teething probs. |

500 memory might be cutting it a little close for videos. |

This is the problem when OP is not giving a clear picture as to what his problem is. What types of files give you the problem? Is it mp3g, avi, mpeg, vob, or what? |

The customburn discs are exactly the same as you would find exploring a DVD. .vob and .ifo files. within the video ts folder I have de-crypted using dvd decryptor/and managed to see the 12 seperate chapters/individual songs within the vob file I have managed to convert the files into mpeg format -However, I now have the , music, video but someone singing as well!!! I then tried converting into a Divx that too did the same. although we managed to seperate the file into chapters we never got to explore the contents.ie cd(background music) = graphics I hope this gives you a better understanding of where I am and what I want to do. basically the video ts file is appearing with just 4 files and not showing the chapters /individual songs as individual files, which is what i need toplay through the karaoke software hopefully you can help |

This is normal, you're reading from a USB drive and your software needs to scan all tracks before you can use them I don't know if you're a KJ or just doing karaoke at home but this is the reason I never read my files using a USB drive, way to slow!! Now mind you I'm not using an Hosting program so I wouldn't know if it's faster... I'm using Karawin Pro & Karafun, those are home software You might want to test the Pro software that were recommended here and see if your songs are loading faster, most programs have a trial mode |

If it's brand new it should have more than 500 meg of ram FYI, Windows XP would need at least 1 gig to be fast and stable and Vista at least 2 gig But, the real problem is the USB, WAY too slow for reading a video file, and it takes forever for the software to scan the 1400 tracks! Get yourself a large 7200 rpm internal drive and you'll see where the problem is |
