Due to the high cost of advertising I just got a laser color printer off of Ebay. I can print color posters for about 4 cents apiece and plan large poster drops.

This is one poster which is a adaption of one of my craigslist ads. I need general opinions and suggestions. I am done with the weekly bar gigs and do parties only which takes more than word of mouth. A large part of my customer source is from the internet and that is why I am so sensitive to certain types of posts on this forum. My own posting under the influence is a detriment to my business. Matt was my cop in that regard and I loved him in many ways. I think I will reregister under another handle and start anew.

A poster like that is going to eat up GOBS OF INK(toner?). Will it be full color? or just black and white?

I would suggest make a HI-RES MASTER print, then take it to a kinkos or such and do the bulk printing./enlargement.

Printer/toner cartridges are VERY EXPENSIVE and can and will eat you out of house and home.

The cost of the cartridges will become prohibitive.

Monotone color is less expensive.

Or BW on colored paper would be even less expensive.

Or forgo the big blocks of colored area to reduce color ink consumption.

Will these be WIDE FORMAT or standard 8 x 11 or maybe 11 x 14 or 11x 17

What kind of paper?? Standard, hi-gloss or other??

Kurt 100 posters at Kinkos is $60 + ...I print books with a mono using toner refills.
Now I will do color the same way. This will do 1000 sheets. Some I will do with gloss others with plain. A few years ago I paid about $15 for a banner on the UNC online paper for 30 days. Now it is $35 for one day. Any type of advertising here is out of sight. I am not Wells Fargo... LOL
