Hi everyone,
I've posted a couple of times already but neglected to introduce myself. How rude! Apologies.
My name's Stuart and I live in London, UK. I've been singing karaoke for years and found it a great way to gain confidence in public settings (I was a bit of a shy lad as a young 'un). There's not much better than a few drinks and a singsong with friends, I find! Nowadays it's hard to wrestle the mic from my hands...
In recent months I've found myself in the enviable position of being able to incorporate karaoke into my everyday life, in that I've started working as Social Media Manager/Web Editor for Lucky Voice, the UK's leading private karaoke company. The company has bars up and down the UK with gorgeous private karaoke rooms where people can sing with their friends without fear of public humiliation. At Lucky Voice it's less about how good your voice is than how enthusiastic you are!
However my job is more related to our relatively new online service, Lucky Voice Home, which allows people to bring the experience into their own homes. It's really interesting dealing with the different challenges of bar/home singing, and I'm hoping to pick up lots of knowledge from the established, passionate members of this vibrant community. Of course I hope to be able to share the odd learning as well!
Er, apologies if this is the longest "hello" post in the Karaoke Scene Forum's history. I'll go now.
Hello, Goodbye! as someone once sang...
