I think we had this subject a while back, but since a few people jumped on this train and karyoker just opened a similar thread, I wanted to ask for your experience.

Is it worth to put a nice HTML Ad on craigslist? Did you get business out of it?

Advertising anywhere that doesn't cost you money can't hurt is the way I look at it. It takes a couple minutes of your time to update these sites & who knows what you may get from it?

Even just putting something on the 'events' section is great - people are pretty good about using searches now and if you type in 'karaoke' on events page in the Seattle Tacoma area, more and more people are starting to use it.

I also use DJ Intelligence which sends a text to my cell phone when they inquire. Fri I got a txt from a bar in Denver for an emergency karaoke host. It was only $150 with a $50 dollar bar tab and I turned it down (it was 80 miles away). However I did call some hosts I know and tried to cover the gig. The mngr appreciated that and I let him know we need a week advance notice to cover. Craigslist is the best advertising I have used by far.

Here is the ad he responded to.

Can't see it because the link is to your personal account and of course we don't have access to that! LOL
Can you post the correct link please?
