Had a singer at yesterdays show- nice woman - decent voice
She sang a few songs and then the more she DRANK she didn't hesitate to come up and "help" others sing. No body minded at this place and some singers even prefer the GROUP method.

But here is the FUNNY part...... After helping herself to HELP others she puts in her last song request and tells me ... " MAKE SURE NO BODY SINGS WITH ME ..THEY MAKE ME GO OFF KEY "

some times you just have to shake your head and chuckle ....

I'll have to remember that excuse next time I ruin a duet...!

I don't think I would have paid her request any mind by that point. Just curious, did anyone decide to come and "help" her?

I know I would have said,"You gotta be kidding me, right?"

--no she actual sang an unusual song --so nobody ran to help !!

We have an inflatable old time mic that we hand to people when they invite themselves up to help out others with their songs. So far we have gotten a laugh and instant comprehension from it. Some even ask if they can use it specifically. But yes--people are odd which I usually like even if you are left scratching your head. Others times it is aggravating but always gives something to talk about.

Eventually she will ran out of unusual songs and I will be there to help her with my off pitch backing.
