For over five years I have tried to communicate in chat forum language, gutteral english and everything up to and incuding formal english on this forum. For over five years I have been mis-interpreted, challenged and been the target of someone's requirements for a resume and qualifications. It has been to no avail.

I have seen the karaoke radicals argue about their dogmas and rules like they spokepersons of a great religion. I have read many threads about fill music, rotation and many others. These barkers of karaoke have given our industry a bad reputation and have done nothing to promote it. In fact as long as the media pays attention to them karaoke will never have the respect it deserves. It will be regarded as a bunch of drunks and radicals wanting to be a star.

This forum is no longer a forum for karaoke fun but a soapbox for those who want to regulate and put stringent rules and laws upon those that haul their system into bars week after week. We are tired and we are extremely tired of those that expect us to be a god and have the same morals as the Pope. We struggle to put food on the table just like everybody else.

I have spent a lot of money on karaoke cd's I have also downloaded tracks that might be questionable. Come bust me! I am not a hypocrite..

I have posted lately as RideSilent and as angel911 which I thought was hilarious. For those I have hurt or insulted I apologise. However all my friends here are gone and I cry when I see Matts avatar.

I show none here any disrespect but this forum no longer is a benefit to me or my business. There are many here that I love and dream of visiting someday.

So I must take a leave of abscence for awhile. As everybody here I need to back off and look at the big picture again. all I love you all and I will be back..

Just goes to show, that you NEVER really know who's on the other end. At least with a phone, you MIGHT recognize the voice. But then again, phone sex is a pretty big business also, and you really DON'T KNOW who's on the other end. Guess that's why people are always WARNING about what information to give out on the internet, YOU NEVER KNOW, who you're giving it to. Thanks for re-enforcing the need for restraint in giving out information Karyoker, I mean Angel911, I mean Ridesilent, I mean, WELL, YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN!!!!!!

SO....according to Diafel in another thread, Angel910 is gone....

so..Ollie started posting as Angel 911, but i never saw any posts either.

I did see the ones by Ridesilent and wondered who that newbie butthead was..

Ollie, have a nice break, we'll see you when you get back. There still is a great group of nice kjs and non-singers that post great stuff.

IT Does seem to be getting better lately, and we STILL have the much respected ones such as Lonman, Karen K, Letitrip, RLC, Mckyj57, Timberlea, Diafel, Koyote, CStaley, Severin,... and a few others keeping THIS an excellent karaoke forum to learn from and share ideas.

You are right.

Ollie, you should just come down here for my wedding. There are plenty of people here for you to meet. I'm sure you would have fun.

You would have plenty to talk about with my dad. He's a retired master-chief with his own karaoke system.

When you get stuck in a rut like this it's time to change some things. Get out, meet some new people. Mostly don't take this place too seriously. I have and it was a big mistake.

I miss sharing with many of the people here but you have to take or leave the good with the bad.

Don't quit, just take a break.

Sparse verbalisms snd a few short sentences can not express my feelings and beliefs. That is why I sing people.THAT IS WHY I SING.....

EDIT: sometimes in my drunken state of mind a thought or statement pops out of my mind. The above I know comes from the spirits for I know I couldnt make such a statement but it totally expressed my feelings and it makes me weep.
