I am looking for a stand alone sound sampler. By that I mean one that is not dependant on a PC- Kind of like what used to be incorporated into electronic musical keyboards, but without the keyboard. I had one years ago, but can't remember the brand. A box about the size of a paperback book or smaller, with several programmable buttons. Repeat- I want a stand alone ONLY. I have all the sampling capabilities I need in my PC, but I don't use it to host. Anybody know of anything out there? Lon? Anyone? |

If your looking for a good stand alone sampler, that won't break the bank look into the Boss SP series. I'm not sure if they make them any more but I know they are all over E-Bay. I have the Boss SP505 that I used to use until I got a keyboard with a sampler in it. I believe there was an SP202, SP303 and the SP505. They pretty much have the same features as their parent company Roland's versions. |

The Yamaha SU10 is pretty solid too. |
