Hi Guys
Does anyone know where I can get Esther Phillips - What a Difference a Day Makes in MP3+G format.
I have tried a few sites but all they have is the Dinah Washington version.
Thanks for reading this.

Thanks guys for your responses.
I looked at that track on the Karaoke-version website but it's just an MP3 file.
I need the CDG bit so that I can use on my karaoke system.
It's such a well known track and a huge pity that it hasn't been released by Sunfly or one of the other big names in Karaoke tracks.
Does anyone know of any software out there that enables you to create your own CDG file and add it to an MP3 backing track?
Can't help wondering how it's done and whether the big stumbling block is the question of Copyright and Royalties.

You can buy software to create the CDG version from powerkaraoke(dot)com. Realistically if it's only for you own use then you will more than likely be just fine as far as licensing goes (not legal but...). If you wanted to sell it, different story! How about taking the cdg from one version and the mp3 from the other? Are they that different in terms of timing?

I'm also known to pull up the lyrics on a website to display to a song I only have the instrumental version of. You need to know the tempo of the lyrics well enough, but that's how karaoke used to be before laserdisc anyway. That's how it is on live band karaoke for the most part.

off topic - I wonder why KV doesn't do karaoke versions of some stuff, just backing tracks? Licensing, time, etc?

Hi Jonn

I'm afraid that the two versions are worlds apart.
One is real slow, the other goes like the proverbial Bat out of Hell
I'll check the website out though.
Thanks for the advice.

I use Karaoke Builder Studio to make my CDG files to add to the backing tracks that I've purchased. It's very user friendly in my opinion.
