hey Sammy, I asked a technical question on the 18.4.04 hopeing you would amongst others, answer my queery ?? but to date I have had not ONE reply. The subject was VCD Karaoke disc's recorded to hard drive ?? I am in Australia and need to do this conversion, very soon. I was hopeful that some of you in the USA had already mastered this problem. As I said, I need to retain the Multiplex ( multi channel ) the Key change and Vocal masking ?? I know it will mean MEGA hard drives but shurely someone out there has done this ?? Please someone, give me some guidance to this perplexing problem. As I pointed out before, Please dont suggest to go to CGD'S as I have mentioned, Asia do NOT use CDG'S they only use VCD's & DVD's, they do not like to sing with no video clip backing or not having the vocal assist on when singing the song for the first few times . they are much shyer people and will not get up and sing to CDG's !!! |

I've used the Pinnacle pctv deluxe to bring in ANY video type to copy to mpeg1 or mpeg2. It uses a blue screen /record option, exactly like a VCR does. I'm in the process of recording my old lasers this way. BUT I'm either going to make VCDs of the suckers, or a DVD with the mpegs... I don't HAVE the mega disc space, and my dvd burner will copy those as files I can access... I'm nearly complete on going fully digital... THEN I can use those dvds as file storage!! Matt |

Matt, thanks for your reply, Im wondering if you could email me with more information on " how to ". the lasers are also interesting as I would like to get all the 20 Pioneer Lasers ( country ) on video hard drive, they are great but getting so old now it would be hard to find them in good enough condition to record. Much appreciated your speedy reply, thanks, Doug. Email address: maninblack@dodo.com.au

doug I am from Asia too, doug. I gave up trying to do what you are tying to do. I dont think people in US know about this problem; ie migrating from VCD to PC base. This is what I did if it is of any help, I just copy the track to the HD ie copy and paste. Play it in any vcd player. You will notice that you cant mute the vocal track. To do this go to go to Acces>Entertement>Vol control. Slide the wav control L/R you will remove the vocal. Some Dics may not work. |
