I'm sure that you all have someone (including yourself) that is KNOWN for singing a particular song. It may be the guy who ONLY sings Ring Of Fire, or the lady who ONLY sings Crazy by Patsy Cline. But some of us get KNOWN for singing a certain song, or songs by a certain artist. I used to be known (at one time) as the guy who sang Jethro Tull songs. You can usually hear people whispering it when you walk past, or sometimes they will come and tell you, "man, you really NAILED that song". So, my CURRENT signature song is Chantille Lace, by the Big Bopper. Do you have, OR have you had a SIGNATURE song?

I don't think I have a signature song, but I do have certain groups of regulars that ask me to sing certain songs. I guess what I'm saying is different groups of people have their own signature song for me. I have four different songs that come to mind: What's Goin On - 3-nonblondes, I've got the Music in Me - Kiki Dee, Steamroller - James Taylor, Bring Me to life - Evanesence.

I have signature songs (Sponge- Plowed, Nirvana-About a Girl, Dwight Yoakum- Fast as you) that I can get the crowd with, but thankfully I do visit many venues to do those for a different crowd.
I'm one of those guys who shouts out the song that the person usually sings when their approaching the stage, or songblock them to where they have to do another song. I've actually helped one guy out to getting to do other songs and he does those justice (unbeknownst he was known as "That effing Drops of Jupiter guy" by the crowd)

I have regulars that ask me EVERY WEEK to sing <<snoooze>> "At Last" Smile, put song on, sing, and accept their thanks. ARGGGG.... "Over the Rainbow" Martina McBride version is another they want to hear. "Barracuda" is another. These people come every week to listen to singers, buy food, lots of drinks, so youbetcha, they'll get to hear these songs.

The closest thing I have to a Signature song, is I end every show with "goodnight Sweetheart" by the Spaniels.

EElvis, funny you should mention that. We were going to use that as our closing song also, but my girlfriend and I now sing Happy Trails by Roy Rogers and Dale Evans.

I think the only time someone said I nailed a song was after singing The Night Chicago Died by Paper Lace. I guess I own that song, sing nobody else sings it!
My most often sung song is probably Gerry Rafferty's Right Down the Line.

Like many here, signature songs for me have been bestowed by my regulars.
When I first started singing karaoke, “Mack the Knife” was pretty much it. But as I developed a repertoire, and graduated into hosting, I found (and still find) myself indulging requests; many for Neil Diamond (from “Brother Love's Travelin' Salvation Show” to “America”). We also adopted a closing number; “God Bless the U.S.A.” which tends to go over well with the more mature audiences.
And sign off with “Goodnight folks. Take care of yourself. And just as important, take care of each other”
Seacrest…, Out!

For years my sig song was "Play That Funky Music" then became "September" by EWF, morphed into "Johnny B. Goode" and is currently "Boom Boom Pow" by BEP.
Our closing signature song has been "End Of The Road" by BOYZ ll MEN for years, if we are still busy when we end the show.
After much conditioning, the crowd now sings it as "We've come to the END OF THE SHOW".

When I first started karaoke, it was "I Love Rock & Roll" by Joan Jett. Then it was "All Fired Up" by Pat Benetar.
For live music jam sessions, it was "Roxy Roller" by Sweeny Todd and "House of the Rising Sun" by the Animals.
Now it's "Any Way You Want It" by Journey.
Looking to try and change it, though. Perhaps another Journey song. I LOVE that band!

I'm known to rattle off songs by Journey. My most requested Journey song is Faithfully.

I try to have a big enough list of songs so I don't have a signature song. Keep the fans guessing. Seriously, I don't want it to get old to the point where evrybody knows what I'm singing before I even hit the mic. My signature, if I had one, would be that it would most likely be a country song.

I have several songs that, I guess, are signature songs. "All I Wanna Do" by Heart, "Meet Me With Your Black Drawers On" by Gloria Hardiman, "Bleeding Love" by Leona Lewis, and "Take It Back" by Reba McEntire. The new one they ask for all the time is "If I Were A Boy" by Beyonce. They make me sing everything.

I try not to sing the same songs but if I don't sing anything by Journey usually get the "when are you gonna sing such and such. I just love it when you sing that."
Gonna try some Survivor soon.

I don't normally sing at my own shows unless I get a request. The request I get most often at my own show is "Guitarzan" by Ray Stevens. It's done as a trio with my wife as the pet monkey and a 6 foot 4, 275 lbs male friend as Jane. Yes he hits the high notes.
My second most requested song at our shows, and the one I seem to get asked about the most when out at other's shows, is "Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." It's always a little odd when I walk into a new or less frequented karaoke venue, and somebody I don't even recognize rushes up to me saying "Your that Transalvania Transvestite guy!"
