Well, my Sunday night venue would be perfect for such a gathering. Pop's Tavern has a large seating capacity, a dance floor, and great acoustics. It's a great bar, and has been in the same family for 75 years. For the most part its history is associated with country music, and the still have live country music acts Friday and Saturday night.
The walls of the place are covered in pictures from acts going all the way back to the 50's. Many have gone on to Nashville.
Of course, the karaoke ranges from classic country, modern rock and pop. The karaoke folks are as nice as can be. There's plenty of parking too.
I work 5 nights a week. I've got a fairly robust karaoke selection, and at Pop's I do have a nice internet connection for instant downloads... which is very nice. Most of my new tracks are SBI.
I run two JBL EON 315s, and a Beringer Monitor. My mixer is the Yamaha MG166CX, and use two Shure SM58 wireless mics.

I'm in Southeastern Indiana (Cincinnati area) but I love a road trip.

Koyote, Pops sounds like an awesome place i'd love to visit! It seems very rare to find a great venue that has real history to it. And the fact it's family owned makes it all the more appealing!

Sunday night works for me, but other travelers with a day job are going to want a Saturday night.

I would think anyone looking to host this would of course have a CDG player available.

C'mon Kurt, you know I got this! Lol. Bring your CDs!! For those of you that compile your songs onto one CD, I don't have a problem with that either.

Now KK...you'd better develop some rigidity about all of this very soon or you'll never make it.

WOW! Sparrows Point That is WAY Too far for me!
!
I would certainly make it whether the wife likes it or not! (Yikes, did I just type that?) I mean I will have to get my lovely wife's permission of course
I think a Saturday Night would be grand...
Let's set something up! Hey maybe we could even get Steve "Kappy" Kaplan to make a trip. Would be terrific to actually met some of you people.

No, but what a cool Idea! Since I make my own song slips, by the time we put this together, I would think, yes...

Whatever's good for everybody... lets take a consensus. March is fine, as far as I'm concerned.

Can't speak to your motivation for this, but bear in mind he calls himself EXweedfarmer.
March would be OK for me. I am OK with a Sunday, myself.
