Anybody use a DMX 166 ?

Post subject:  Anybody use a DMX 166 ?
I currently don't have a compressor on my system and have a chance to pickup a DBX 166 for a $75. I just wanted to ask on here if y'all think that's a wise move.

You mean a dbx 166 (saw the main subject line :D )? I have an original model (no A or X at the end) that I love and run on the main output stage - mainly for the limiter but use a tad of compression as well. I think I paid over $100 for mine used a few years back. If it is this model & in good working condition, then $75 is still worth the price. It would be good on the vocal mics as well.

yea Lonnie, DBX not DMX. Guess I had lighting on my mind LOL

I think I'll go ahead and get it. Now I just have to learn how to use it.
