I believe this might have been asked before, but i can't remember for sure. But this is for all of those who are computer based shows.

I know there are different ways of going from your laptop to the tv's or monitors or big screens, but was wondering if there is something out there that i don't know about. Some people use s-video to RF modulators, some use VGA converters, some use HDMI outputs. I use mostly s-video to an RF unit, splitting that signal to a LCD tv and either a big screen tv or a projector using RCA cords.

What do all of you use? and are there options out there that I am not aware of or considered???

I also use s-video out to a RF Modulator then from there coax and(or) rca out.
Sometimes just coax, sometimes coax and rca, and sometimes the rca is going to a X10 wireless video sender.

It all depends on what I encounter. My monitor for the singers is a regular 19" LCD computer monitor, so I connect to that with a VGA cable (50 footer). In one bar I play, they have a 42" Plasma that I connect to along with my singers monitor. The plasma has a VGA connection so I use a VGA splitter I bought at Radio Shack and connect to both using VGA cables. Two other bars I play at both have large LCD TV's that I connect to with RCA. For that I use the PC to TV EZ adapter to split the signal to VGA for the singer monitor and RCA for the TV.

I used to go RCA to an RF Modulator when I had my old singer monitor (a 13" CRT TV), but I haven't had the need to use the modulator since I got rid of that TV.

EDIT: Removed irrelevant babbling.

I use S-Vid to RF and cable. Easier to split (for bar tv's) and run longer runs with.
