I don't have that exact set but I have several CD&Gs by Tropical Zone. They are pretty good but can be a bit MIDI-like sometimes. But on some of the music, so are the originals. But in general they are one of the better for Latin and they don't have as many messed up words. Another brand that has really impressed me with musical quality is Karaokanta--very authentic instrumentation.. I have some Sound Choice Latin via custom and the quality was good--actually prefer their version for Como La Flor.
I will preface that my experience is in buying what I like for Shakira and to fill requests by an hispanic customer to do some Salsa. We don't do Latin oriented shows but a KJ who did them for 15 years in the San Jose area told us that the customers would tell you what brands they liked and if you got them you would have loyalty for life. So Latin Stars would be good as a test the waters pack but if you were doing serious Latin shows then poll your people for what to buy.
Thank you, that was the kind of information I was looking for.
