Has anyone purchased this Latin/Spanish SCDG?
How is the quality?

was there supposed to be a link?

exactly what scdg are you talking about other than "Tropical Zone" and by what manu?

If you are looking for Latin music you might check this out. I'm thinking about getting it.

I don't have that exact set but I have several CD&Gs by Tropical Zone. They are pretty good but can be a bit MIDI-like sometimes. But on some of the music, so are the originals. But in general they are one of the better for Latin and they don't have as many messed up words. Another brand that has really impressed me with musical quality is Karaokanta--very authentic instrumentation.. I have some Sound Choice Latin via custom and the quality was good--actually prefer their version for Como La Flor.

I will preface that my experience is in buying what I like for Shakira and to fill requests by an hispanic customer to do some Salsa. We don't do Latin oriented shows but a KJ who did them for 15 years in the San Jose area told us that the customers would tell you what brands they liked and if you got them you would have loyalty for life. So Latin Stars would be good as a test the waters pack but if you were doing serious Latin shows then poll your people for what to buy.

Here is a link to the one I was asking about. http://www.dbkaraoke.com/music/discdeta ... D=SGLA0500

And of course if I decide on this (a scdg) I will also have to make a stop at Roxbox.net with $39 for the scdg ripping software. So basically $140 for 500 Latin karaoke songs.

Thank you, that was the kind of information I was looking for.

I was just reviewing some of mine--if you do go Tropical Zone it would be good if you preview some of the songs you are familiar with so you can test the instrumentation.. Tropical Zone is also Latin Stars and they put out sets of varying quality. My Tropical Zone Latin Teen Pack has the most midi-ish version of Suerte I have ever heard. But an individual disc I got for "La Tortura" is pretty good. I've gotten in the habit of preveiwing individual brands for the specific songs I want, just like we do with SC, CB, etc.
