During the 90s someone stated that we are living in the exponential world and it has been proven to be true. Technology wise, what we achieved in last year exceeded what we achieved in last 10 year and we achieve more in last 10 years than last 100 years. This rate will continue despite the people who are doubters.

I don't agree with one fact on that about the broadband penetration. Depends on which way they took the data, Japan, indeed is has the highest penetration of broadband, specially if you count speed per person. It's not uncommon for typical Tokyo resident to have 100 to 200 megabits per second to their home. That's about 10 to 20 times faster than the US.
