I am planning to buy the Tc electronics M350 for vocal reverb. Would like to have comments or views on vocal reverb quality, are there better units for the same price ($200)

Also I was planning to but the Mackie profx 8 mixer but reading a lot of negative comments regarding the high frequency noise when using the usb for recording. If i buy the above reverb unit (and vocal reverb is the only effect I need) could you pl suggest another mixer (6 or 8 channel) which is good quality. Wondering hows the alesis multimix 8 channel usb mixer, any comments would be appreciated.

Also since I will be doing karaoke, I need a key controller to enable changing the pitch of the music track. Could you pl suggest a good one.

Appreciate your help.
SM

Are you going to be recording? It's a good mixer overall, I played with it locally but didn't use the USB for recording.
The effects you mention are nice.
As far as key changer, unless you 'downgrade' to a 'karaoke' mixer, you won't find that option on professional mixers. Most karaoke players & software to play from computer have key change ability built in.

Thank you for your comments. Would you pl rank the mixers below in terms of sound quality, especially vocal reverb.

Yamaha mg82cx
Mackie ProFx 8
Sound Craft EFX8
Alesis MULTIMIX8 USB 2.0
Behringer 1204FX Xenyx
Allen and Heath ZED 12FX

Thanks for your help.

Personally I'd put the Sound Craft and Allen & Heath at the top of the list. The Yamaha next, then the Mackie, then the Alesis and finally the Behringer. That's taking into account the quality of the console itself, the effects units and just about everything else between.

If I have to buy one right now... I would be contemplating on the EFX8 and ZED 12FX. :D
