I would be interested in learning:

a. what category(ies) you list under?

b. what do you say?

c. how do you keep the listing current and continuously running?

d. is it possible to add graphics? if so, how?

e. how do you think it's working?

I have, but not for a while. Didn't really seem to make a difference.

Just had my basic ad that I used for the local karaoke paper that we advertised in at the time. Under events, community, services, gigs. It only keeps your ad up for 1 week and I didn't have alot of time nor remember half the time to renew it so I quit using it.

You can add graphics to any craigslist page using simple HTML. Some of the more fancy stuff doesn't make it through though, you certainly embed other pages within CL stuff and I think trying to add some CSS and javascript probably wouldn't happen either.

I try to remember to keep re-posting but as Lonman says it can be a chore to keep up with.

As with all ads you need to find a way to get a mark of it being successful, perhaps add an image which can be used as a hit counter if you can track how often it is loaded. I figure anything more, like drinks coupons requires bar owner assistance.

I advertise both my bar show and my karaoke business on Craiglist. Why not? It's free!

What category(ies) you list under?
For my bar show, I list under events. Here's my current ad. For my business, I list under Event Services. Listings in that category require you have a phone-verified Craigslist account. Here's my current ad.

What do you say?
You can see some of that at the links above. Good design is key, you don't want a sea of verbiage without calling out different paragraphs, graphics, logos, etc. to make it easier to read.

How do you keep the listing current and continuously running?

You can put in the same ad once every 7 days. If you have a Craigslist account, you just log in and renew it when it expires. No need to re-enter the ad.

Is it possible to add graphics? if so, how?
Craigslist will display photos and graphics hosted elsewhere (your own site, Photobucket, MySpace, etc.) You would just insert it as HTML code. In fact, you can make your entire ad look like a webpage with the right HTML code. If you don't know code, there are free sites that will walk you through an online design wizard and give you the code.

How do you think it's working?
Works great considering all I'm spending is a few minutes of time a week to renew the ads. I get lots of new people to my bar show who are either new to town, or already karaoke fans searching for "karaoke" and seeing what comes up! I've gotten thousands of dollars in karaoke parties advertising my business there.

Good luck
