Just watching the Adam Lambert Video for his new release of "Time For Miracles", and had a thought.
His voice is similar to Roy Orbison's voice. Perhaps he should cover a few of Roy's songs. Comments? Rude Remarks?

I personally wouldn't mind him singing anything. Just my personal opinion. Seriously, "All I need is time", but Mr. Orbison would be a great one for him to do.

After his performance on the American Music Awards if he don't change his ways he won't get to sing anything.
For Jian: he was the runner up on the latest American Idol.

It kind of makes me wonder if his manager, producer, and record company execs and host of other bottom feeders are the ones behind his performance on the AMA show. After all, they all have a vested interest.People are still talking about it whether they liked his performance or not. One thing you need to remember, in their eyes "Any press is GOOD press", and press sells records!
It would not shock me in the least to find these people, and Lord knows whom else, actually planned this entire fiasco down to the most minute detail.
I remember in an interview with Brian Dunkleman (A I season 1" co-host) when he said "Once these kids reach the final 12 status, A I and the network own these kids!"
So as much as I didn't like Adam Lambert's performance, it's easy to understand why he did it. Imagine...you're a young person who wants to be a star, and you'll do anything to obtain celebrity. Suddenly, these creeps tell you if you want to have any hopes of being in show business, that this is what you'll do, or you'll be blacklisted!
I'm not saying that this actually happened in this particular instance, because I do NOT know, but these kinds of things go on in the entertainment industry.

I didn't see anything all that offensive about his performance. It was a weeknight, in the 10-11 o'clock range. Anyone young enough to be effected by it should've been in bed or on his/her way there (not to mention having the television viewing monitored by their parents). Anyone over that age who was just offended now knows what Adam Lambert post-idol performances look like and can now adjust their television viewing accordingly, chances are they weren't in going to be in his fan base anyway.

His AMA performance was a bit over the top, but I wasn't offended. Heck I have seen worse on some network PRIME TIME shows. And of course, turn the channel if you don't like it.

This is precisely correct. He mentioned in one of his interviews about double standard in entertainment. If a person has watched anything related to music in the last 10 years -- MTV when it was music videos, etc., you KNOW that almost anything goes. I am then again reminded of Mickey Mouse Club alum Britney Spears - singing a song titled 'If You Seek Amy' -- come on, Adam's performance was status quo for that show. He worked with Lady Gaga's producer on his album, among others, who are in the biz of identifying talent and creating work for them. I don't view these things with emotion anymore, I view them with a critical eye about the impact it has on the population watching it. I'm not an awards show watcher but as I was so impressed with AL's idol performances, I tuned in. He must have drawing power in their eyes to drag out his number to the VERY end, after the last award ... mostly to keep non-award-show-watchers like me tuned in, but also with the idea that most parents would have shooed their little ones to bed by then. Hey, what's wrong with a little S&M anyway? Love the guy, believe he has a long career ahead of him when he once again takes control of it. His album is definitely concept, a few great numbers on it, a few that are overproduced, but in each case his talent is what I hear.

Well we've had the girl on girl kiss, Madonna humping people on stage, Michael Jackson grabbing his crotch etc... No big shocker here Adam went over board.
The thing that bothered me is he sounded like crap. I've heard his new stuff and was disappointed. Where is the Adam we know and love to hear sing?

Doesn't matter if what he did is perfectly within what past preformers have done.....in the real world we live in.......in the opinion of the masses......has he delt his career a setback, or has he ignited it?.......that's all that matters.

I still think most of today's so-called entertainers can't perform without special effects. Over produced voice effects to cover up the natural flaws in the human voice? C'mon, let's hear the real voices. I was listening to Celtic Woman tonight and those women do not have effects distorting their voices. They are lovely, look great without acting like cheap hos. I'll taker an unadorned voice over this over-produced crap any day.
