Post subject:  DK USA discs

I need some help ...I have been ripping my karaoke discs I haven't bought a program yet but I have been using KJ Pros website to label the discs correctly

I have 3 DK Karaoke USA discs ..they are not in the freedb database and I can't figure oput what to label them..as they are not on KJPros database either ...they have the Europe ones listed as DKE but I would think there would be a DKU or something

I am looking for some info on these discs ..if you have any that would be great

BTW here is an example of the disc label/number CMGUSA-12

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks
Ed

Are you sure these are actual DK discs? or are they something someone made?
If you can't find it on KJ Pro they might just be.
Give us some of the titles off the discs and maybe someone can look it up a different way. I have Airwer but can't come up with that disc code.

If you supplied a track listing, we might be able to match it with a DK series disc?

Also, sometimes mfrs. supply sample discs with karaoke equipment, and number the discs differently. For instance SC discs that come with VocoPro equipment begin with "VPC"..... Just a thought.

Checked on airwer and no luck.
Is the list you gave a complete on off 1 disc?
If so i'm really confused as DK usually has 18 tracks per disc.

Yes that listing is one disc ..these discs are identical to the Eur ones they have the same cd face and amount of tracks

Is it possible they are just not in the databases ...look below there are only 18 listed for the Eur versions and the numbers are scattered

DKE04 DKE05 DKE06 DKE07 DKE10 DKE11
DKE13 DKE14 DKE15 DKE16 DKE17 DKE21
DKE24 DKE29 DKE30 DKE33 DKE34 DKE9

I just put a few more in audiograbber ...a few came up and they were listed as CMG-USA-# ...Any chancwe someone can look up CMG on their datdabase program

Thanks
Ed

Went through several databases and can't find a DK disc that contains all of those songs.

My guess is that since it's from 1992, it's simply a disc that was made, but removed from the market prior to the creation of the databases.

The only other answer is that some company burned a DK compilation disc- maybe for a sample pack...

Music Book Deluxe lists the series. Like the Euro set they are an 8 song multiplex disc with 31 discs in the USA set. While I don't use them, I was given a few of them by a friend a long time ago. The web page database lists them as:

DK CMG (8 Song) CD+G
Disc Numbers DKC001 - DKC031

Just remember that their web site does not list the tracks in order but it's good for finding the artist. Every now and then one or two of them will turn up on eBay for just a couple of dollars.
