Post subject:  Orlando Area - This Week
I have a sales meeting in Orlando this week Thursday - Saturday, Dec 3-6. I would like to know of any recommendations for karaoke during my stay. My preference would be clubs that have a mixed age clientele and not just the 21 to 30 somethings. Also, I will have a car and GPS so getting from my hotel location off I-4 and 182 will not be a problem. Thanks for any suggestions you may have.

The Blue Max Tavern in Olde Town, Kissimmee is a very good karaoke place I've been to. The one thing that kinda sucks is that they make you buy 1 drink for everytime you sing. They literally give you a ticket when you buy that you have to then hand in to the KJ. Other than that, real good karaoke.

It is down by Disney, so it is probably 30 minutes from downtown Orlando. It is right off of I-4.

If I wasn't doing Holiday/Christmas parties this weekend I would suggest you come to my shows, but I can recommend my friends at O'Shuck's on International Drive.

They do karaoke 7 nights a week, Katie Joyce is in charge of the karaoke and works Thurs-Sun, other hosts that work for her do the other 3. Since they are in the touristy area, they have the best drink prices for the area and not just alot of tourists go there, a good amount of locals, (service industry peeps) hang out there. The owners work there bar tending, Bob, Keith & Richard they are all cool guys. Tell Rich Happy belated B-day, (Today's his B-day), he would be surprised.... lol.

Be VERY CAREFUL of drinking & driving down here.....

Thank you for the suggestions. O'Shucks looks like it is less than a mile from where I will be staying. For sure I will be checking this place out and hopefully get some of my colleagues to come along.

I second O'Shucks! AWESOME place! With all the things you could do in Orlando, if you choose to do karaoke you probably really like karaoke! There seems to be a lot of good singers there, plus as a popular tourist destination you'll meet people from different countries even. Went to Orlando on our honeymoon and of the seven days we spent in Florida we went to O'Shucks at least four or five times. Katie is a sweetheart, has a good selection and she will play your discs if you bring them. Highly recommended!
