My name is Keesa and, although I've been a member for over a year, I have never been able to download one of my songs. Seems they're too big and I don't know how to reduce them. Can anyone help me with this?

Perhaps you mean "Upload" if referring to placing a song here on the board..

The Karaoke Scene server is "up", the members are "down"..

File size can be related to song format..

More details will allow assistance..

I just either recorded at a lower bitrate then you would normally record at. You can get the same effect using Goldwave or some other audio program that allows you to change settings on songs.

I'm not very computer savvy. I DID mean "upload" not "download" and realized my mistake after I posted the question.

My songs were recorded a couple of years ago and I no longer have that or any other recorder. The songs are on my hard drive. They are MP3, with bit rates at 320 bps (whatever that means), and 7 to 10 MB. Is there a way to reformat or compress the songs to put on this site?

Any assistance or suggestions would be most appreciated.

You will need to lower the bitrate from 320bps to maybe below 160 to fit the upload limit of 3MB in SS. To do that you will need an mp3 converter. I use dBpoweramp Music Converter. Download it from :

CDEX can also re-encode a MP3 file to a lower bitrate. It is what I use to shrink my songs to fit on the wife's MP3 player.
It is free and available here....
