Just to let everybody know I just moved in to my new apt. For a senior it is awesome I will take some pics when I get stuff put up. I am not in a senior place now alot of my neighbors are CSU college students. In fact a block north is a college karaoke bar. OH CRAP!!!

I had a goal off getting an apt Dec 1 less than $200 rent. It took a VETS program and section 8 but my rent is $90 and utilities about $80. Swimming pool and jaccuzzi. I accomplished a bunch in the last 30 days going from depression to high motivation. For a 70 year old man I did good. My experience with dealing with crowds and presenting an enthusiasm was a critical part of accomplishing my goals. I* AM HOME!!

I will not participate in the negative political crap or flaming that has become norm on this forum. I did not cause the problems of manus and I will not accept any blame which is not mine. However I will occasionally offer the opinion of an oldtimer and present positive aspects only.

I do wish I was going to Vegas with Charmin and could go to Dallas for Chucks and Gigis wedding. I wish them the best. So for now I just read and monitor and wish all the best.. Ollie

EDIT: We do have a christmas party at the Hilton and we will be in tuxes...

yay Ollie I am so glad for you...but you go rub shoulders with those college girls, they will keep you young and probably enjoy the company of a man who knows how to treat them as worthwhile humans rather than pieces of meat ;-) luvs ya

Ollie, I'm SO glad to hear things worked out so awesomely for you. Hell, why can't I get a house payment that daym cheap? Yikes, that's great.

If I hadn't blown every dime of my money in Vegas, I'd say I could head book a flight that stops over in Colorado and pick ya up and we'd make it to the wedding, I very badly want to go.
(Charmin <---- the flying expert now, Lol) :wink:

Vegas was a blast. I have about 1,000 photos (yes, one with Elvis too, I TOLD you all that he was still alive)... and I blew all the cash I took... and I have blisters on my toes. So, all in all, it was a great trip.

Have fun with all the college crowd, I'm sure most of them will adopt you, as likeable as you are:)

Ollie - great to hear from you ! It looks like a snowy wonderland there. Be careful walking home at night. I'd hate for them to find you in the morning as a frozen snowman.
