It started about a six months ago with one or two. Now it seems like every other bar and club around here is having a so call KJ coming in with a laptop and two powered twelve inch speakers a hard drive with 100,000 Karaoke songs. I stopped in just to check it out one night and the guy was proudly telling me that he only paid 400 bucks for the loaded drive, and makes fifty bucks a night. That seems to be the trend around here! I've been a DJ/KJ for twenty years and if I have to pay for my music and play for less than what I pay for my monthly up-dates I'll quit and have one hell of a home system for my T.V.

go in check to see if he has SOund Choice and contact KIAA (poop). a nice little legal paper will shut him up.

WHERE IS HERE ???

I don't care if the entire set up was FREE --working for $50 a night is stupid
( assuming you are a KJ and have to set up and tear down and maintain books etc etc )

Many jobs are well worth $10 per hour when all your are is an employee

Maybe his back will give out, at $50 a night he ought to be able to stay plenty busy well at least until people get tired of krappy-oke and he has to go find the next bar to ruin.
