Re: Another recommendation scenario Reply to topic Reply with quote Go to the bottom New postPosted: Fri Dec 25, 2009 5:28 pm The Christmas gift was a big hit. What a difference in sound! Now, can I remove my Bose speakers connected to my receiver and have the sound from my TV and other devices run through the Carvin speakers??? Good question but it wasn't answered so I'm asking here. Can I hook my PAs and my sub to my hd plasma? Probably doesn't make a difference but I now have Directv. |

You want to hook your speakers to your plasma screen? How heavy are they? But seriously. What exactly are you trying to do? Play TV audio through your PA? Or play Karaoke audio through your TV? |

Easy to do, just run the RCA Audio OUTs from the TV into a PA Mixer. From there, run the mixer to your amp, amp to the speakers (or powered speakers directly from the mixer). I do this every year for the super bowl. Gotta love the way a good hit sounds through 3,200 watts of tri-amped loveeeeee............... |

We've had this going in our recording studio for some time now. Everything used to run through the PA in the play room (using RCA outs from the receiver to the RCA 2TR Inputs on the console). Now with the new pro-tools rig it all runs through that console and out through the control room monitors. You should be able to do the same with your Carvin. The only thing you'd lose is if you have surround sound with your current Bose system you'd be going down to just a stereo signal. |
