Just found this and thought it might be interesting. Most new TVs can accept and decode unencrypted digital cable (ClearQAM). This box will take a VGA input and convert it into a digital cable channel. (Like an RF modulator does for composite video onto an analog NTSC channel, but this is digital!)

At $500 it is not cheap but the ability to just connect into an existing cable port and suddenly be available on all TVs in the bar in perfect quality is tempting.

For the price point I'd like to see it take a DVI / HDMI input (albeit non HDCP I expect) but it's nice that it's out there!
