Hey there,
My brother passed away and amongst his belongings were a bunch of karaoke cds, mics, mic stands, cables etc. I figured I'd continue his karaoke legacy. (wasn't really a legacy, I'm exaggerating). So anyway, I've got a good voice and plenty of technical hardware knowledge, not too bad with a pc either so what have I got to lose? A bunch of money for an investment is what I discovered while reading this forum, but I'm up for the challenge!
From what I've read, I've decided on Compuhost. I've got a good amount of money to start this up, but I'm trying to cut corners where I can, for instance: I'm going to lug my desktop to gigs, it's already got an ATI video card with s-video out, so I won't have to buy a laptop right away. I'm reading about ripping the cd's to the hard drive so I'm all set there, but the one thing I'm stumped about is when it comes to songbooks. Is there a way I can just bring the files to kinko's to print out? My buddy works in an office with a huge printer, he said he could do it, but I don't think he realizes just how many pages I need printed, double sided too If I can.
Well, I look forward to joining the community, and thanks for any help you can provide!
