What's the order of setting up equipments? Please help. I am new and i don't really know the order.

Here's what I have.

DVD->Vocopro Mixer->EQ DBX231->Compressor(DBX 166xl)->DBX 233xl->QSC2450 amp->Speakers2 x JRX125

Is this the right order? thank you for your help!

I would recommend starting with a good mixer and a good amp, you already have a good compressor, EQ, crossover and speakers, I think

You'll have to share your budget, from there we can make better suggestions

You do have some great components to build on 8)

Whops hehe i forgot to add the qsc amp.

Yes, it was a big mistake buying the vocopro Mixer. I wish i hadn't bought that and buy the Profx8 or zed12 instead.

Yeah the mixer is something left to be desired, however in hooking it up.

DVD to the mixer music inputs.
Run the mics to the dbx 266XL, to the mic inputs - there are no insert points to properly connect this. You really don't want to compress the whole system, just the vocals. But using this piece will require learning how as well. It could be a bad thing if you have the wrong or too much of certain settings - or set correctly would be a godsend as it will automatically level out singers that get extremely loud. Once set up, ask for some general settings here.

Outputs of the mixer to the dbx231 eq. Do not run it in a smiley faced pattern.

Output of the dbx to the input of the QSC amp.

The 233XL is a crossover, don't need it. You would only use this if you had another amp to run a set of subs - which you didn't mention so it will not do any good in your system at this time - do not use! It will actually hurt the sound if you do.

Connect the speakers to the amp.

Lonman, i am a little confuse. Here's what i think you said.

DVD to Vocopro 5800 Rx to DBX231(eq) to QSC.

Mic to DBX 166xl

Where do i plug the DBX 166xl? Are you saying i need a mixer like a mackie PROFX in order to have a slot to plug in the compressor?

Or are you saying...

DVD to DBX 166xl(with Mic) to Vocopro 5800 RX to DBX231(eq) to QSC?

Also, If i don't have a separate SUB, then i don't need the DBX 233xl?

Sorry I misread, yes the mics straight to the 166 & to the mixer mic inputs. You want to compress vocals in this situation.
A mixer like the PROFX or something else that has inserts on the mic channels would be better than a straight inline run, but this will work for now - not the best way.
So dvd to Vocopro music input, mics to 166 to Vocopro mic input. Vocopro to 231 eq, eq to amp inputs.
Yes you are not running another amp and subs, so the 233XL is useless at this time - until the time when you add subs & another amp to run those subs!

I personally would use a sub with those, however, with the equipment listed, i'd opt for a new mixer first before thinking about anything else!
