When you need the latest releases of karaoke music -- Where do you purchase ?

I just purchased Charbuster Jan2010 Country disc. In the past I purchased most of my discs from karaok.com. The problem is this time the SHIPPING COST was about 8 bucks which made me do some searching and I was able to save about $2 on the overal cost using another site. ( expresskaraoke.com) ( ABOUT 10% SAVINGS )

I would have loved just to be able to download the song I want but could not find it anywhere as a download.

"Highway 20 Ride " - Zack Brown Band

SO --WHO DO YOU BUY LATES RELEASES FROM ?

Chartbuster Pro Discs I have on subscription from both Chartbuster and doowop.com. $18 a disc and free shipping. (They go back and forth on which discs arrive first!) Chartbuster use UPS and doowop uses USPS.

Pop Hits Monthly I think the best is to pre-pay an entire year from them direct. I'm taking a break from PHM right now until I can afford a pre-pay for both rigs. A good discounted price can also be had from phonglekaraoke.com.

Of course hopefully Chartbuster will get their download site out of beta, fix the search engine and add the new stuff. That would really leave just PHM out of the download market for the major manus if you count Karaoke Channel from venuevj.com for Sound Choice.

I'm with Classic; Doo-Wop.com is always my first choice. Good proces AND free shipping.

Probably Ace after that. For hard to find stuff I go to my local brick and mortar karaoke store, which is VERY well supplied.

It is far more important to get songs that suit your singers than just general total # of songs.

Depending on your crowd you may need to emphasizize one or more genres of music. Others you may be able to neglect a bit if you already have a few generalized sets that may get you the biggest hits of all genres.

Unless you do a lot of private parties with different groups or your bar is the only one that offers karaoke for a large area it is probablly easier to specialize your music than just get a lot of songs.

As for a system computer digital karaoke is probably the best way to go for now. Compuhost is also a good software to go with.

I think Dr. Fred was responding to the thread regarding building a library.
