Aloha!

Was curious if anyone here from Karaoke Scene is attending the dj conference in vegas next week feb 9-11th. It is the largest show of its kind and will be held at the Riviera Hotel & Casino.

This years' main party (there's 3) includes Coolio and The Sugarhill Gang.

Great informative classes on pretty much everything and also an ever-expanding Product Expo showcasing the newest gear/equipment/technology/software on the market.

Also if anyone else knows of one of the BEST KARAOKE STORE i can browse and shop for some new discs at, would be most helpful and appreciated.

Went to Mobile Beat for years and even gave several seminars during the convention. Haven't been in awhile as the offerings seem to be very much "DJ 101" for newbies in the industry. Had never seen anything karaoke-oriented for the seminars, but often a few new toys in the exhibit hall.

Hey Dan perhaps i've seen your seminars in the past. I've gone on and off for the past 10 years to the conventions and am going this year to meet and take my other djs that work for me on the mainland (i'm in hawaii) to learn and enhance their talents.

I missed it last year but heard a few reps from SC and CB were on hand and part of discussions.

I primarily go for the new products exhibit too and for the outrageous parties...and of course to gamble a bit...

If you're looking for a Karaoke Store while in Vegas, try Karaoke Korner, 5643 W. Charleston. Not cheap but they have a great selection of discs and are super friendly.
I try to stop in whenever I get to Vegas. While you're there, pick up a copy of 'Las Vegas Lounge Entertainment', it's the local version of Karaoke Scene and lists most of the places to sing in the Vegas area. Their web page is www.lvlem.com

Have a good trip, and try to at least break even at the tables.

Thank you! I will definately check out Karaoke Korner and i'm sure i'll bring home more than a few missing discs i can't find here on the islands.

I prefer to actually SEE and examine what i'm getting before i buy and i'll spend hours upon hours at a store looking at everything they sell....my wife hates that!! !

The New Products Exhibit at the DJ Convention Show is usually awesome and i shop for 2 days getting a lot of gear at wholesale prices. But they didn't carry karaoke products, other than software, the last time i was there a couple years ago. Hopefully that'll change this year!
