Has anybody had any experiance with these speakers? Only $150.00 at Guitar Center. 180 watts should be enough for a floor monitor, especially with a built in 5 band EQ. What 'cha think ?

Honestly for a floor monitor for Karaoke I think it'd do just fine. It's definitely a cheaper brand (as you can tell from the price) but honestly my opinion is how much do you really need for a Karaoke floor monitor. The only thing I don't know is what their reliability is like. However for $150 even if it only lasts you a year I'd say it's worth it. Certainly enough power in that little package to do fine for your purposes as well.

O-K guys, hit me with the bad news. Just how bad is the Harbinger line ? Sounds like it's one step below Berenger.

Haven't heard anything much about them.

I know it's fashionable to disparage Behringer, but for the price they deliver value. Since GC has offered Harbinger products for over three years now, I am betting they will deliver value too.

Actually the Harbinger is a terrific speaker. I use (2) 12" Harbinger monitors, not powered tho. When I bought them new at GC, I put them head to head against the JBL JRX112m monitors, and they actually did much better than them. They were much louder, clearer and had more punch. If they were able to be put on stands, they would actually make great little mains. Don't worry that they are a "store" brand, they ROCK hard! And seem to be very durable as well. The ones you mentioned I haven't heard yet, but if they anything like the ones I got, you would be happy.

The best thing to do if you have a store near by is to go and listen to them.

As far as powered speakers go, I have been reading up on the Behringer B415DSP powered speaker. They are a bit more money than the Harbingers, but I have a hunch they are really good sounding speakers and you could probably get away without using a sub-just a guess-I need to go hear them.

I found the B415DSP on amazon for $379 and free shipping. If they are as good as I think they are this is the best deal out there on a 15" powered speaker if you can lift 74 pounds. There is also a 12" version for $299. These are less than half the price of the new QSC K series speakers.
