I pretty much have everything set up and running and it sounds great.I thought i would look into trying to do some recording with the Sonar LE that had came with the Zed.When i play back the sound is pretty distorted, fuzzy and really poor sounding.I tried using my older adobe audition software as well with the same results.
I was wondering if anyone else has had any luck using the Zed as an audio interface and recording.
My next option would be to try and hook up my M-Audio Fast Tracks Pro and using that as an audio interface but i need to go buy 2 1/4" cables to do that since the Zed doesn't have any rca stereo inputs to connect to,just stereo returns are rca.
I use windows 7 64bit with 4 gig memory,i did try and check the volume levels in properties but didn't see anything.I also have the speakers pointing out away from me so i don't pick up a lot of ambient noise from speakers and such.I also downloaded the new asio4all drivers.

Try adjusting the sound level in windows USB driver
Control Panel - Sound - Recording - Click to highlight Microphone USB Audio Codec - Properties - Level - Adjust level to 15-25%...
Windows default to 100% causing too high level to the recording input resulting in distortion when playing back.
On the mixer I set it to send Left+Right Main channels pre-fade to the usb port to PC. Do this by setting AUX1-2 in up position, AUX3-FX in up position, and LR_PRE in down position. These are the three buttons right below the USB port.
Run Sonar LE and set the Audio track to Right Microphone USB Audio Codec, add another audio track and set it to Left Microphone USB Audio Codec. Click the R button on each channel to enable recording and watch the input level. Go back to control panel and adjust between 15-25% as required.
When playing back from PC to mixer via USB port. Set the mixer to send USB to channel 11-12. Turn channel gain to 12 o'clock, push white button below the gain knob to down (on) position, Push the 'to LR, to 11-12' button to down position to send to channel 11-12. Use the blue slider to adjust the play back sound level.
Hope this helps.
