I'm trying to take video clips from You Tube, and put them in my video bits section. Can't get it to work, I think it has to do with re-formatting it to a video file. Has anyone done this, and if so, can you PLEASE tell me how to do this. I think this option will really set my show apart from others, due to this ability. Thanks.

There's a plug-in for Firefox called download helper that will do the job for you. It has an attachment that will convert the files to a windows media file that Compuhost will recognize. You can then load them into video bits and they'll play fine, though I have noticed CH seems to clip the last second or so when playing the file. Not that noticeable unless it's a tight out.

Thanks Karen, I'll see if I can find what you're talking about. I'll look on the net for Firefox, and download helper. I'm assuming this will work with Windows Vista Premium, and the NEW version of Compuhost. If not, please let me know. Again, Thanks a bunch.

It shouldn't make any difference which version of CH that you're using as long as it's a windows media file the video bits should play it. I'm currently using the latest upgrade and have had no problems at all.
My Monday show has a lot of TV trivia buffs early in the evening and I've taken to opening my show with the open of an old TV show each week (anyone remember Fireball XL5). I've actually had some people start getting there early just to see which clip I'm going to play that week. I close each show with the Mickey Mouse Club Alma Mater (again from the original MM Club). Got some old commercials that I plan on throwing in to the mix sometime in the future.

SOOOO, Karen, I guess I'm NOT the first to think of playing the old TV show themes before the show for the patrons entertainment. I guess that's why YOU'RE the one giving ME advice. Thanks again.

I tried that in the 80s bar. It bombed. I have tons of tv show wavs, movie quotes and funny sayings. The quotes go over good but try a tv theme song and "ouch".
