In general what is the most successful maximum crowd size for a long lasting venue. I am aware that too small can't get enough people in to support paying a KJ/DJ, and maybe too large a capicity would require too much overhead. Mrmarog |

It's definitely the most difficult part of this businness in my opinion. The "regs" who support all of our shows can become a little annoyed if the rotation is over 10 or fifteen people. OTOH, the venue owner/manager is elated when I have 30 or more folks waiting to sing. It's a catch-22. There's a fine line when it comes to this question and I'm not sure there's an exact answer. My regualrs keep me going and I will try to cater to them when possible. Personally, it's easier when there's only 10 or so in rotation and your out in the crowd chatting, etc. but I'm not only there to socialize. There has to be money made and that's my job as well. |
