Our bar had their party this last Saturday for some reason. Not going to be doing much tonight, except some drink specials.

I do my show in a small town but there are 9 bars in 3 blocks...so you can imagine what happens. One of them fashions itself to be a Brit place....ours is 1900s pub...will be a fun night for sure. Any reason to make jello shots!

Wednesday is my gig's regular night which usually gets the place packed anyway. Tonight I think things can go one of two ways...either lines down the block as we have during the summer and holidays...or our normally busy night since there are so many other bars doing special events tonight.

Guess I'll find out in a couple of hours!

We had an incredibly good night tonight - one bar amongst I think 7 or 8 in a three-block radius. Was packed when I got there to start at 8 and was just starting to thin out by 12 ... I went over 15 because all the 'amateur drinkers' as the bartender called them, had wandered out and the regulars enjoyed a few more songs. Bartender tipped me out $40 which was nice. Small town businesses are struggling now and it's great when the locals patronize local businesses instead of heading out to other places.

We were still busier than normal, resembled more of a SRO Friday night. They had some drink specials & we did some giveaways. Surprised as hell no one sang Drunken Lullabies.

Had an opportunity to DJ for the bar last night ..but after a few Irish songs the patrons kept yelling out LADY GA GA LOL. ..happens every year for me.
Since it's not an IRISH bar ...regulars can only take some much Irish Music.

The regulars kept asking me if we could do KARAOKE so I had to run it by the manager who eventually said OK if I mix it up with the ST PADDYS type music etc.

Worked 8pm to 12 and the place was busy and the corned beef dinners were being served faster than anything LOL. All in all a pleasant and calm night.
Everyone seemed happy ..so what more can I ask for

We had 150 people in a place that would normally only hold 100 comfortably. Ninety percent ate the typical Irish fare, and they all drank heavily. We went from 6:00 to 11:00 and we still had a crowd of about 60 at closing. We had lot's of Irish tunes sang, and some songs several times.

I had an Irish background and some Irish animations in CompuHost. The bar decorated, did green beer, and served free corned beef and cabbage. I played an obligatory 3 Irish songs when the food was served - Unicorn Song, Whiskey in a Jar (NOT Metalica), No Nay Never.

We had a full house of about 200 and everyone drank way more than usual. Had two squad cars camped out outside, so most everyone stayed from 9:00 until we kicked them out, then loitered in the parking lot until the police left. Everyone had a good time!!
